What Causes Blocking Of Ear?

Hello my name is Katie and I ve been suffering with a blocked ear for a month or so and sort of got used to it for a while but the last couple days it s been getting worse and is really annoying. It s not completely blocked but if I touch the side of my face or my ear I can hear like an echoing noise, any ideas what this could be?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having a eustachian tube dysfunction causing negative pressure in the middle ear. This will cause blocked ears and echoes.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have advised for tympanometry and et function test.
Depending on the report, I would have prescribed antihistamines with decongestant tablet, nasal decongestant drops, steam inhalation.
Hope my answers have helped you.
