The history of bloating, severe pain, tenderness in the upper abdomen on the left side under the ribs, pain in left side of chest on pressure in the upper abdomen can be indicative of a referred pain from the irritated diaphragm which separates the chest from abdomen and is surely indicative of inflammatory pathology in left upper abdomen may be due to intestinal obstruction or so. I would advise you the following in such a situation: X-Ray of the abdomen in standing position. CECT of Abdomen. Tests of stool, blood and urine will further assist in diagnosis. Clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon. Get admitted to the hospital for further diagnosis and management.
