hello, I am very bloates, with a tender stomach to the touch. I have a sharp pain in the upper left area under my ribs, and when i press on it i have chest pains in the upper chest area. the pain is on the left and right side of my stomach and hurts my back as well. I dont want to go to the doctor because ive had similiar pain and they have not found anything
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. The history of bloating, severe pain, tenderness in the upper abdomen on the left side under the ribs, pain in left side of chest on pressure in the upper abdomen can be indicative of a referred pain from the irritated diaphragm which separates the chest from abdomen and is surely indicative of inflammatory pathology in left upper abdomen may be due to intestinal obstruction or so. I would advise you the following in such a situation: X-Ray of the abdomen in standing position. CECT of Abdomen. Tests of stool, blood and urine will further assist in diagnosis. Clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon. Get admitted to the hospital for further diagnosis and management.
