What Causes Bloated Stomach With Pain And Diarrhea In Children?
My 10 year old daughter is a tall thin kid but has a pot belly on her. Sometimes she complains her stomach hurts and has had constipation and diarrhea in the past. The doctor said the give her Kaopectate. Is there something else I should do or what could be the cause?

Hi...being thin and lean with pot belly could be a symptom of liver disease. But if she is not having any other problems and is developmentally normal I do not think you should worry about it. The other possibility includes a inflammatory bowel disease. I suggest you get her evaluated by a pediatric gastroenterologist.
