What Causes Blisters On The Buttocks?

My husband came home about 6 years ago with this pus filled bumps, on his butt, when we went to the VA drs, they said he got herpes from a toilet in London. I have been very careful and we have gotten to the point of not really having sex in the last few years. About a week ago, my husband didn t tell me he had a flare up and only told me about it afterwards when I seen him scratching his butt, that his pus blisters are back. I have been swollen, itchy and now have a white rash look to the inside and outside of my private lip area. About every 5 hours I need to shower rewash and I put a feminine cream on it to help with the itching and burning. Could there be a possibility that I got it from him itchy his blisters, breaking them open and touching my private area?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to herpes simplex 2.

I suggest you take antiviral tablets and also use an antiviral cream for local application.

I also suggest you wash and dry frequently the area and use cool compresses for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
