Hello,
From what you are describing, it seems that the blisters are due to
dermatitis (eczema).
The most important thing is to rule out poor circulation of blood on your legs. A Doppler
ultrasound of blood vessels in the legs is advised to further evaluate them and rule out
deep vein thrombosis.
A skin scraping examination is advised to rule out infectious causes (fungus). Blood sugar levels should be controlled to rule out
diabetes. If everything is ok, then it is eczema.
As they are located in front part of the legs between knee and ankle, friction is not a cause.
Keep good local hygiene. If itchy, please apply
cortisone cream locally. If infected, antibiotic ointment is recommended.
But first, should rule out the above-mentioned causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
