Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have some type of growth (mole, wart, tumor, ?) in the roof of my mouth right behind my front big tooth. It has been there now for 2 months and it has grown. It burst just a few minutes ago when I was eating an apple. It is meaty and bleeding with no pus or inflamation. It has not coagulted yet. What is this in my mouth, and what can I do to get rid of it?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that a meaty lump on the roof of the mouth can be a hemangioma or a fibroma.. But the exact diagnosis needs a clinical examination and investigations like like Biopsy.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly.. In case if it is a fibroma surgical excision is the only treatment that can be done.. In case if it is a Hemangioma treatments like application of sclerozing agents to regress the size of Hemangioma can be done.. If it still does not work surgical removal can be advised.. As of now you can pot gentle pressure over the bleeding area with a sterile gauze to help in stopping bleeding.. Cold application can also help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
