What Causes Bleeding With Intrauterine Gestational Sac Seen After Sonography?

hi ,
am 5weeks preg .. and had bleeding for 2hours i consulted doc she sent me for emergency sonography in which no internal bleeding was seen but the report says a single smooth intrauterine gestational sac is seen , a single yolk sac is also seen inside but no fetal pole is visible at present.
m been asked to go for sonography after 15 days from now . (report says Mean sac diameter 08mm).
Am bit worried this is the first time m expecting and dont wanna undergo any miscarriage or abortion .. please guide .. lemme know if everything is gonna be fine or not ..

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Bleeding is usually a sign of a threatened abortion, but as your gestational sac is intact and in place, there should be nothing to worry about. Although I would have preferred it if your doctor would have initiated progesterone pills, to help support pregnancy. A repeat scan is recommended in 15 days to check on the viability of the pregnancy, please do not miss this scan. Also, in the meantime make sure you get as much bed rest as possible.
