What Causes Bleeding In The Navel?
Belly button bleeding onto clothes and dripping in floor for about two minutes then stopping. Has happened twice in past 6 hours. Should we go to ER? Went one time in the past for same reason . he said ...have you been. Putting your finger in your belly button? I said yes. He said well don t do that anymore. You must have scratched h sore open and it has bleed.

belly button bleeding may be due to either of these reasons:
infection due to poor hygiene,piercing
portal hypertension
primary umbilical endometriosis(seen in women)
consult your doctor immediately if you have associated symptoms like pain abdomen,abdominal swelling,dark stools,vomiting,confusion.
