What Causes Bleeding In Eye With No Itching Sensation And Injury?

Very nice to meet you Dr. Grief. My question is in regards to the human eye. My sister in law who lives in Mexico is experiencing bleeding in her eye, and she is a contact lens user. She is not experiencing any discharge or an itching sensation in said eye. She has not injured or accidentally "poked" the eye in any way. What could be the problem?
Thank you!

Hello,
It seems from the history that your sister in law who is a contact lens user is having bleeding in eye. I think she is having bleeding under conjunctiva called as subconjunctival hemorrhage. This can occur because of minor injuries related to contact lens use.
This does not require any treatment it will resolve by 3-4 weeks. However I advice to consult eye doctor once for confirmation of diagnosis.

Thank you
