What Causes Bleeding During Pregnancy?

I am 20 years old and 11 weeks pregnant. I am having bleeding like a period when I urinate and then spotting in between. I called my doctor and since it is the weekend he told me to just call for an appointment on Monday. My last ultra sound two weeks ago was fine.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Bleeding in early pregnancy can be due to:
1. Threatened or spontaneous abortion
2. Ectopic pregnancy
3. Bleeding around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage)
Since your ultrasound2 weeks ago was fine, then ectopic pregnancy is ruled out. However repeat proper examination and ultrasound is required to make the correct diagnosis and treatment should be initiated as soon as possible to avoid complications..
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
