What Causes Bleeding During Pregnancy?

How long should I wait to have a natural miscarriage? I found out at 11 weeks that my baby stopped growing at 5 1/2 weeks. I just started spotting, and now at 12 weeks, but it is really light. I am worried because it has already been done for 7 weeks. I do not want to risk infection but I do not have any signs.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
If arrest of fetal growth is diagnosed, it is called missed abortion. In case one does not want to go for external assistance to remove the products of conception- it will be spontaneously aborted some day- which can not be predicted.
So it is advised to take medical aid & get rid of it earliest- thus preventing chances of infection/fever/weakness of the mother.
Your's is just 5.5 weeks pregnancy arrest- it can be easily taken out by conventional D&C operation under anesthesia.- while mother is protected under antibiotic/ metrogyl umbrella.
Please take help of a gynecologist & get it done, don't wait for unpredictable spontanious expulsion.Take care.
