What Causes Bleeding Anus Post Gall Bladder Surgery?

I had gallbladder surgery ten days ago and I just noticed when I went to the bathroom that I have blood on the toilet paper. This is from the anal and vaginal regions. Also, I have been lightheaded for several days. No pain to speak of in my stomach, just sore. Should I be concerned?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Fresh blood from anus or vagina is probably not due to gall bladder surgery.
Bleeding from vaginal region can be due to menstrual cycle.
Bleeding from anal region could be due to local trauma or piles.
A clinical assessment of both vaginal region and anal region needs to be done.
Lightheadedness can be due to effect of drugs used during anesthesia used for gall bladder surgery.
However, it is unlikely for the effect of anesthesia to last for ten days.
Soreness in the abdominal region is normal after surgery.
You can take painkillers for the pain.

Thanks and take care
