My partner and I tend to have quite rough sex and afterwords she bleeds a little. Its the second time we have had sex and the same thing happened of course still very rough, but it scares me because I don't want there to be something I did wrong to hurt her please help
The most likely explanation for bleeding after vigorous intercourse is related to bleeding from the cervix. The cervix is the lower part of the uterus and visible at the top of the vagina. When it gets bumped, it tends to bleed easily. While this is a good explanation of what is going on, you need to have her get in for an exam and make sure that this explains what she is experiencing with intercourse as there can be other causes of bleeding with intercourse.
I hope that this helps and good luck! Dr. Raichle
