What Causes Bleeding After Intercourse During 5 Weeks Pregnancy?

I'm 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My husband and I had sex last night for the 1st time since I found out and this morning I was cramping like I was going to have a period. I went to the bathroom and when I wiped it was a bright red blood. I have continued to spot throughout the day and have bright blood and clots of it when I wipe. I have also continued to cramp. As long as I'm lying down or relaxing in the recliner with my feet up it's just spots of blood. I don't feel good and I have a low grade fever of 99*. Do you think I'm having a miscarraige or could this be normal? Or is it just a chance of either? Oh, and this is my 1st pregnancy.

Hello, this can be miscarriage or just an implantation bleeding so get an ultrasound at earliest and ask her to have complete bed rest for as long as there is cardiac activity on ultrasound.
Progesterone support is also a must
In case you have any questions in future you can contact me directly on http://bit.ly/drmanishajain
