What Causes Bleeding After Intercourse Despite Having An IUD?
I had an iud inserted about two weeks ago. The strings were bothering my boyfriend so I tried to move them out of the way a little and I may have pushed on the iud. I felt a strange sensation and stopped but now my strings feel considerably shorter and I am in some pain. This happened about four days ago and on the second day I experienced some bleeding. Because it is New Years my obgyn is not open and urgent care facilities don t have the knowledge or tools to assess my situation. I need to know if this is urgent and I need to go to the ER or if I can wait until tomorrow to set up an appointment with my doctor

These all happening due to IUD only and only option you have is remove IUD bleeding may be due to this only, avoid the intercourse till you remove the IUD, this is not that much emergency if you will not go for coitus, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day.
