What Causes Bladder Leakage After Lithotripsy?

I'm 42 yrs old, 5'4, female, 215 lbs. i had lithotripsy oct 2010. i've gained 20 lbs since then, so i don't know if that could be a factor. For the past couple of years, I've had slight bladder leakage. After surgery, is has gotten to the point that I completely urinate myself, out of a chair, onto the floor and across the room. Stents were in place for two weeks before the lithotripsy, and one week following. Could they have caused nerve damage? Is theis the reason for my incontinence?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The most possible reason for incontinence post lithotripsy is damage to the internal urethral sphincter. In our clinic, we recommend uroflowmetry for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
