What Causes Black Eyes After A Head Injury?

My child hit her head pretty good today and ruptured the skin. There was a little blood, but we got it fixed up and bandaged. I ve been monitoring her for concussion symptoms and I just noticed that it appears that she is getting two black eyes. Is this something I should be concerned about being that it s her only symptom?

Hello,.
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

Black eyes following head injury is indicative of base of skull fracture.
Please be advised to take her to the emergency room for imaging study of brain like CT scan for confirmation of diagnosis and rule out internal bleeding.
