What Causes Black Discolouration In Stool While On Ibuprofen?
I have had 2 consecutive days of jet black stools. I have never seen or had this before. Have had zero pains, I started taking 2 ibuprofens 2 days ago for arthritic joint aches, before bed time.. Could this be a clue? Ido not take any other meds but (1)acetaminophen, aspirin, caffeine combo pill every 5/6 hrs for neck tensions(fibromyalgia ).. Have been doing this for many years. I am 64. So, black, black stools zero red?? Thank you, S.

Bleedign in oesophagus or stomach may cause black stool.Already you are taking ibuprofens,acetaminophen, aspirin, caffeine combo tablet.These tablets if you take for longer time or not taking along with H2 blockers (drugs reducing the production of acids by acids secreting cells,for eG:Ranitine),you may get peptic ulcer.This is why you might had black stools.
