Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Black color vomit signifies old blood in upper gastrointestinal tract(stomach or duodenum). This bleed may be due to ulcers in stomach or duodenum. These ulcers may be caused by gastritis due to alcohol usage. So you need to quit alcohol and take Proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole. Also you should undergo upper GI endoscopy to look for any ulcers. hope this clarifies your query. Feel free to contact us again in case of any doubts.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
