Very embarrassing. My stool has been black in colour for the past 3/4 weeks or so. I have no pain or any other issue. I have very strong coffee. Otherwise not any change in my diet to give that colour. Should I be concerned as I don t want to worry anyone
Hi, As you are having black color stool this might be due to taking some Iron medicine for anemia whch give stool black. Otherwise it indicates that there there might be having some bleeding from your gastro-intestinal tract which gives black color stool called Malena. Go for stool test for occult blood. If occult blood is found then consult gastro-enterologist and get examined and investigated. Gastritis, gastric ulcer or some lesion in the tract can cause this problem. Ok and take care.
