Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM.
Rhichi is auscultatory finding of respiration sound. When we heard wheezing sound with stethoscope, this is termed as rhonchi.
It is seen with diffuse bronchospasm.
Bronchospasm causes narrowing of diameter of bronchi, so the air which is pasding smoothly earlies now feel turbulence in the flow and thus makes whistling sound which is known as rhonchi.
So bronchospasm is the condition causing rhonchi.
Now disease associated with bronchospasm and rhonchi are
1. COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease )
2. Acute bronchitis
3. Brinchial Asthma
4. Bronchiectasis etc.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done PFT ( Pulmonary Function Test ) and chest x ray to rule out above causes.
You need inhaled bronchodilators for treatment of rhonchi.
