What Causes Balanitis After Having Unsafe Sex In Men?

Hello, every time my boyfriend and I have unprotected sex he gets balanitis, we have both been tested for STD s numerous times and we are all clear he has used every cream you can think. My doctor has said it is just the friction when rubbing or a bacterial thing. we stopped having unprotected sex about 2 months ago and last night we had it again and he has come up with balanitis again. WHY?! how can we stop this from happening without using condoms. Please help :(

Hi,

As per your doctor it is due to the sensitivity of the skin he's getting the infection, you can try any lubricating gel before having un protected sex. If still it happens both can try taking antifungal medication orally for one dose.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nagamani N. G., General & Family Physician
