What Causes Back Pain And Increased Vaginal Discharge?

Hello, if I was on birth control for a year(YAZ) using that as the only birth control method. Then after I stopped that my boyfriend and I used the withdraw method, he never ejaculated inside of me. I then got my period right after. Then we continued 3 times during the next month using withdraw method. He never ejaculated inside me. I feel lower pack pains, I'm very agitated and have a little temper. I also saw secretion in my underwear, it was clear and sticky. Do you think I am pregnant? Or do you think its because I'm about to get my period?

Hi there,
After going through your question, I am of the opinion that:
1) Chances of pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse are always there.
2) However, chances of pregnancy are less if there is no ejaculation.
3) Lower back pains and mood swings could be due to pre menstrual syndrome (PMS). However, there are some chances that it could be pregnancy too. Even the vaginal secretions could be due to PMS or pregnancy.
4) My suggestion is that you wait for your periods to come. In case you miss them, get a urine pregnancy test done. If you want to find out earlier or if the urine test is negative inspite of missed periods, you can get a blood test called serum beta HCG which becomes positive by 3-4 weeks of pregnancy.

I hope this was helpful.

Hallow Dear,

After first incidence of your intercourse with withdrawal method you got menses; so you are not pregnant due to that incidence of intercourse.

However, withdrawal method is not a safe and reliable method of contraception. Before actual ejaculation of semen, some pre-ejaculation secretions (precum) are deposited in vagina unknowingly. Precum does contain some sperms which are capable of fertilizing the egg. So please get your pregnancy confirmed by:

1. Pregnancy test on overnight morning first urine sample a week after missed period (if you miss it); earlier the test may report false negative.

2. Alternatively you may opt for Beta hCG test on your blood 10 days after the last unprotected intercourse.

Your symptoms of low back ache with increased vaginal discharge could be due to:

1. You are having incomplete sex. Unsatisfied sexual desire does cause pelvic congestion resulting into back ache with increased vaginal discharge. Please use reliable method of contraception like condom, intrauterine device or birth control pills and enjoy the sex to the fullest. This will reduce these symptoms. Your mood changes and irritability also can be attributed to unsatisfied sexual urge.

2. You could have contacted some infection (may be Sexually Transmitted Infection) which could have resulted into swelling on the mouth of the uterus which leads to low back ache with increased discharge. Antibiotics and/or cervical cauterization can give you relief. Please report to your Gynaecologist.

I hope this should provide you guidelines.
