What Causes Awful Smell In Nose After Having A Surgery For Broken Nose?
I had surgery to repair my broken nose 5 days ago. I have "cast" and packing in my nose. I woke up this morning with this awful smell in my nose. It's gotten worse through the day. It's almost an infection or rotting smell. Is this somethig I need to be concerned about?
Hi, From history it seems that this foul smell might be due to blood and infective material collected on the nasal packing. There might be possibility of having some infection as well. Consult your operating surgeon and get examined. Removal of packing or a course of antibiotic will cure your problem. Ok and take care.
