What Causes Auditory Hallucinations?

My father in law is 82 yrs old. He has been hearing voices and thinks people are trying to kill him. His wife is in the nursing home with dementia. He goes there 2-3 times a day to feed her. He has lost all his savings, to pay for her care. Had CT recently and shows decrease in brain cells and just signs of aging. He remembers things like events and dates. We are at a loss

The best way to help your father before anything worse happens is meditation.
Maybe you didn't expect this but trust me it works
It is difficult but its worth trying.
Not gonna keep typing why meditation is good you can google it if you want
Just wanna say give it a try, it takes time, it is also difficult but with time you will see improvement.
Guide your father to meditate.
I hope he cooperates.
All the best.

Take care!
