What Causes Arthritis In The Back And Neck?

I had this procedure done a year ago and immediately afterwards noticed that I had some pain in the back of my neck on my spine. I started having Crunchiness in the back of my neck. I told my Dr. the next day and she suggested that I get an X-Ray. I was in no pain so I didn t pursue it. I just went in for my yearly physical and told my Dr. about it again. I then got an X-Ray. It shows that I know have Arthritis in that area. Can this drug Cause Arthritis?

Hello,

Arthritis is deneration of joints. It is mostly due to reduced synovial fluid due to aging, excessive weight bearing, trauma to joints, autoimmune diseases etc.

So better to consult orthopedic doctor and get done calcium, vitamin D3, Serum ANA (anti nuclear antibody) testing to rule out causes for arthritis.

If all these are normal then possibility of age related or excessive weight bearing related arthritis is more likely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
