What Causes Arrhythmia And A Slightly Leaky Valve?

I feel like I have a skipped heartbeat sometimes. Actually, it feels more like my heart stops beating for a few seconds. I saw a cardiologist and wore a 30 day monitor and even though it happened while wearing it, the monitor picked up nothing. I also had an EKG. The only thing he found was one of my valves was slightly leaky. He said this is normal. What else could I be feeling? There has to be some kind of explanation. I am only 31 and it has been going on for a few years now.

Hi,

The leaky valve may be seen in dilated cardiomyopathy or annular dilatation or myocardial infarction etc. But in few patients it may be mild and won't cause any symptoms. so don't worry please follow with regular health check-up.

Anxiety is the most common cause of your symptoms. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
