What Causes Arm Pain More Than Pain In The Broken Wrist Area?
I have had a broken wrist and they took the plaster off 1 week ago. I am getting a lot of pain on the other side of my arm and wrist is this normal. Where they said it broke it has minimal pain. It hurts to pick anything up with weight on that side of my arm.????
Understanding your concern. As per your query your side of arm pains more than broken wrist area. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like nerve compression , malunion , soft tissue injury or due to impact of injury . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may reconsidered surgery in case of malunion or may recommend physical therapy and prescribe vitamin supplement for quick healing of soft tissue injury . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for nerve problem . For now apply warm compresses , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and use it carefully .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
