Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Appetite Loss And Fatigue While Suffering From Hypertension?
I am a 60 year old male with diabetes and high blood pressure. I have suffered from chronic fatigue - I get out of breath easily. I work part- time and have to come home and go directly to bed. I have lost weight - my normal weight was 168 and I am now 151. My face has a bright red color to it at all times and is all broken out - not sure if it is acne, rosacea, or my high blood pressure. I suffer from arthritis. I have no appetite and food does not taste good to me.
I have gone through your questions and understand that you are suffering from hypertension and diabetes. Because of diabetes, you have lost your appetite. You should eat small frequent meals in 3 to 4 hours, rather than eating only lunch and dinner. Take regular medicine for both hypertension and diabetes. Do some physical exercise to improve status of hypertension and diabetes.
Arthritis is totally different from both hypertension and diabetes. For that you should consult, rheumatology doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nirav Nimavat
