Hello,

My opinion is as follows.
1. Aplastic anemia is due to acellularity of bone marrow.
2. Most common viral infections. However, medications, cancers, or various bacterial infections can cause it.
3. Bone marrow biopsy would have helped in confirmation of the cause. Possible cyclosporine-induced aplastic anemia or other antibiotic-induced bone marrow suppression could be the cause.
4. More details necessary for further opinion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prakash H Muddegowda
