What Causes Ankle Pain And Red Elongated Circles On Leg?
My husband has been complaining about his ankle hurting last night, and by 5 pm, he was limping and he has a red elongated circle on his leg. We can t find a bite mark, but it hurts to touch it. There is some minor swelling. He has no fever, headache or other symptoms.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ankle pain and red elongated circles on leg . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like dermatitis, dry skin, eczema, heat rash or sweat dermatitis or uncomfortable clothes. I would suggest you to wear loose comfortable footwear and socks and wear loose clothes. As it will avoid friction heat. You should maintain good personal hygiene. Use a powder to avoid sweat collection and apply calamine lotion at the sites of the lesion. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin , oral antifungal or antibacterial depending upon the diagnosis .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
