What Causes Anal Bleeding During Bowel Movements?

My husband stools blood through his anus when passing stool and sometimes the blood is thick and very smelly.The stool is also very watery.its been seeing blood in his stool for over 6years and he has gone to hospital and did some text.Doctor said its not hemorrhoids .Sometimes the he wint see blood for 2/3months.But when ever he drinks milk or eat some particular food his tummy makes a slight noise and rushes to toilet then blood comes out again.Despite all this years of this his weight has not reduced at all.his still strong.he does not feel any pain in his tummy or anywhere in his body.he doesn t drink nor smoke.what could be cause of this smelly blood in stool.

Hello,
Blood in stools may be caused due to various reasons depending upon the age group,which is not mentioned.
If your husband is young,i s he constipated??this may cause anal fissures for which I would suggest a ky jelly and sitz bath

In old age this may be an ominous sign of colon cancer & a colonoscopy should be done & treated accordingly.
