What Causes An Unusual Taste In The Mouth And Sleeplessness While Treating Breast Cancer?

My daughter said she has a feeling in her mouth as if she has novacaine. Thought it might be from recently taking tumeric. She has stage 4 breast cancer but seems too be doing alright and not on chemo anymore. She thought it is from not getting enough sleep. She intends to try to get in to see her neurologist tomorrow.
