What Causes An Itchy Spot On The Right Temple Area?

Hi, I keep having an strange itch, almot like when you get bit by a black fly, or mosquito. Always in the same spot, near my right temple. It comes and goes, for no particular reason. And has been going on for about 2 months now. It s right above my right ear, in my hair line. There is no obvious marks, or redness or anything wrong to the naked eye. But the only way I can describe it, is how u quickly react and slap the area where a bug bites you (sting) and then instant itch. But when I scratch it, it barely temporarily goes away. And then it will happen again right away, or hours later, or min. There is no pattern to this. This makes me nervous because it seems to be right where my pulse is above my ear, and I have high blood pressure and get migraines. Not sure if thats even relevant. But figured I d mention it. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As far as itchy spot is concerned it might be due to allergic reaction. Some anti-allergic tablet like Avil should do the work. You can also apply lactocalamine lotion over the spot. A skin spot isn't directly related to hypertension or migraine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arihant Pandey
