Hello,

Thank you for the question.

1. The gloves that you have been using might be causing the rash. There are certain chemicals such as latex and borax that are used in the gloves which may cause itch and skin infection.

2. You have also mentioned that you have been washing your hands frequently. Please do check and see whether the soap or the hand wash that you were using has been changed. Not all soaps/hand washes are good for all skin types.

3. I would also suggest you to increase the frequency in which you change your glove because excess sweat deposit might block your skin ducts thereby making your skin unbreathable causing the rash.

4. Also check whether are there similar rashes in any other part of your body, if yes I suggest you to consult a dermatologist as diagnosis of contact dermatitis (probably due to gloves/soap) is ruled out.

If no other part of your body is affected, I advice you to continue the current medications that you are taking for around a week ans see if the symptoms improve. If the rash worsens consulting a dermatologist should be considered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Haripriya
