General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The swelling at the operative wound can be a sign of residual cellulitis with infection, post operative healing phase or else.

* I recommend to consult your surgeon for further guidelines as there is diabetes and you should not take any chance for your leg.

* Primary relief will be obtained via foot elevation over 2-3 pillows and avoiding direct pressure bearing.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
