What Causes An Increase In The Uric Acid Levels?

After recent routine blood work, results came back that my GOT is 48, GPT is 91, GGT is 79 and also Uric acid was also high at 7.1. I am 25 yrs old. I have stopped drinking for the time being. How worried should I be? What can I do to bring those levels back to normal?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Not to worry. Try cutting down on meats, don't drink or smoke. Drink lots of water and get control blood tests in a few weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
