What Causes An Increase In The Heart Rate?

Hello. Im 17 years old. and yesterday after an argument with my dad my heart rate increased a lot. and i was breathing really hard and couldnt catch my breath. i was really scared and i think i was having a panic attack. since then i have been breathless almost constantly and my heart is beating around 120 times a minute.

hello...with the history provided i may conclude few things for your increased heartbeat...
1.anxiety issues
2.hormonal issues eg:pheochrocytoma
but before jumping into conclusions get a physical examination... do routine tests like ecg...
