What Causes An Enlarged Spleen With Low Platelet Count?

I had a CT scan recently and all my organs and lymph nodes are good with the exception of my Spleen is enlarged. I got my blood results that indicated high white blood cell count, normal red blood cell count, platelets are low. I have some bruises. No fever. I feel fine. A month ago I found out that I had an abscessed tooth. The doctor was able to save my tooth and do a root canal. Is it possible that my abscessed tooth that was real bad contributed to my Spleen enlargement and my blood results. If so, could this be in early stages of Sepsis or something else? I am looking for the right Doctor who can maybe treat me in the Ventura or LA county area. Thank you

Go for Complete Blood Count and Morphology of the White cells, Sepsis might cause spleen enlargement (if it is generalized sepsis), visit your consultant.
