What Causes Allergy On Face And Swollen Eyes While On Adderall?

hello I am prescribed adderral and last 5 month I have had sever allergy to my face been to er 5 times and they cannot figure out// my eyes swell and itch.. I know I was swithched to generic.. I am allergic to shellfish do u think the adderral ia causing

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have allergy on face and swollen eyes while on Adderall .Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like eye allergies , conjunctivitis , styes , chalazion or injuries. In your case the symptoms are probably due to side effects of drug you mention .I would suggest you to wash your eyes with cold water several times a day , put corticosteroid eye drops in your eyes and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl twice a day . If condition doesn't get better then consult allergy specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with anti inflammatory and antibiotics . Do not apply any cosmetic product on face and put methyl cellulose eye drops in eye to prevent dryness .
