What Causes Absence Of Periods After Removing Implanon?
Hi my name is Sherita I have a question I got off the implanon remove last year in November I receive my period in December and January I didn t have a period in February I been having unprotected sex could I be pregnant or is it normal to have miss a month if you have irregular period
I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.
After the implanon implant is removed fertility returns pretty quick, some women became pregnant just within 2 weeks of the implant removal.
How were your periods before you went on implanon? Were they regular periods or irregular periods?
So, to answer your question, you could be technically pregnant as you are having unprotected sexual intercourse. On the other hand, if you had irregular periods before you had the implanon inserted, may be the same cycle is returning now too.
You could do a pregnancy test to check if you are pregnant or not? If the test confirms that you are not pregnant, then you could wait for your period to return back normally or see your doctor to get a hormonal tablet prescribed to regularise your periods.
I hope this answer has helped you.
Thank you Regards Dr Sunita Sayammagaru
