What Causes Abrupt Weight Loss?
Dr. I had Ulcerative Colitis. I have been taking Mesacol 800 twise daily along with Azoran 50 once and Folvite once since last 10 yrs though i do not have this problem for the last 7 years.
Recently i have noticed that i become thin and my body weight reduced.
Is it due to the side effect of the medicine which i have been taking for a long time.
I have blood sugar also which is not very controlled.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is weight loss then this could be due to some medical condition and not due to medicines that you are having, in my opinion better get done some test and this would be routine blood test, x-ray of chest, urine test, some chronic illness may be the reason, hope this information helps, take care.
