What causes abnormal vaginal discharge?

Hi Doctor, My question is about vaginal discharge that has been bothering me for a while now. Is it normal to have yeast infections more than 3 times in a period of 3months with discharge that looks greenish/yellowish? And what does it mean when a nurse hands me over a letter which is written VDS to give to my partner so he can come to the clinic ASAP?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yeast infections cause a discharge that is usually white yellow. It may look curdy and may be associated with vaginal itching.

The presence of a green discharge is not usually seen in yeast infections and it may imply that another infection may be present. This may be a sexually transmitted infection.
Some persons may have sexually transmitted infections for a long period of time and only show symptoms after months, years (or have no symptoms at all).

It is difficult to say what the letter may have precisely but it may indicate that your partner needs to be treated to avoid complications for him

I hope this helps
