What Causes Abdominal Swelling And Difficulty In Urination Post Appendectomy?

Had an appendectomy yesterday at 1300 hours. I was discharged this am at 0900. Abdomen is swollen and very sore. I have been having difficulty urinating. I have a constant Painful feeling of a full bladder with an output of around 10-30 cc each time. This is coupled with pain. I have had no bowel movements or gas yet. Is this normal and what do I do to help eliminate more. What to do ?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, in post surgical phase such symptoms are common one and it will be vanished soon no need to worry about this, and if this persist then you can inform the surgeon then it may need clinical examination hope this information helps.
