Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 21 years old. I gave birth about 4 months ago. Only breastfed for 4 weeks. Periods were normal. Feb. 6 I started my period it lasted about 5 days and was normal. On feb. 15 I started again, it was heavy and I had to use pads to control it. I also had some blood clots. Just the last two days it has slowed down. I have experienced some abdomial pain. nothing like menstrual cramps.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Dysmenorrhoea can cause such pains. As also PID can cause pain in the lower abdomen. I would advise you to consult a Gynecologist and get ultrasonography of hte abdomen. If there is Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, you and your Husband both have to get invested and treated simultaneously . If there is something like appendicitis or any ovarian and tubal problems the treatment will be as per the investigations.
