What Causes Abdominal Pain,back Aches And Headaches After Unsafe Sex?

iam 38 years old,iwas on depo provera a year ago,started taking microgynon 30 but came off 6 weeks ago hoping to get pregnant.iam married and i have been having unprotected sex,i missed my period 2 weeks ago,iam having slight lower abdominal pains,very annoying hot flashes back aches and headaches.i did home pregnancy test which came out negative twice,what could it be?

Hi,
Since you have stopped using the pill, return of ovulation may occur in one or two cycles and this could perhaps account for the delayed cycle. You can get better confirmation through estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres as HPT may not be of much use since ovulation cannot be predicted in your case. If negative, you can see a specialist for a clinical evaluation followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram and hormones for inducing a period. Considering your age, it is ideal to go for active management as soon as possible. Hope this helps.
