Pain in abdomen near ribs straight through to back, started on right in back (in May), and has progressed to the front and both sides, feels like 2 nails driven straight through abdomen to back. The pain increases at night when lying down. Extreme pungent gas, diarrhea/unformed stools, feeling constipated even with bowel movements, bloating, extreme fatigue, night sweats, achy all over. All test “normal”; tests include blood work, chest x-ray, MRI Abdominal/pelvis, UGI Endoscopy, Abdominal /Pelvic Ultra Sound, CT Abdominal /pelvis, Gastric Emptying Study.

Hi, I read your question thoroughly.

As you have all your investigations done and they are all normal, which means, the chances of a pathological disease causing the symptoms are less . so there is less to worry and more to focus.

The major symptoms of abdominal pain, bloating, constipation alternating with diarhea, wind, are probably due to irritable bowel syndrome, which is a disease with no pathological changes in the gastrointestinal tract but it causes symptoms. anxiety, head ache and sweating can accompany these gastrointestinal symptoms. these symptoms to a great deal can be dealt with by life style modifications. a healthy life style with regular exercise with moderate diet changes( including less intake of caffeinated drinks, moderate intake of vegetables, eating small meals) can help a lot. You can consult your general practitioner for treatment plans and follow up.

I hope you found this information helpful.

If any further questions you can write to me any time.

best regards!
