What Causes Abdominal Pain, Vomiting And Headache During Periods?

I had my period 2-3 weeks ago, I have a hernia, I had to pick up my 70 lb daughter 4 weeks ago, a week later I started bleeding, it lasted a week. Now I m bleeding again already, lots of belly pain, vomiting. Very nauseous, and a migraine. My period is very bright red. What could have happened?

HElo dear, thanks for posting your question.
There are two things I would like to discuss.
First of all, what kind of hernia do you have? Is it inguinal? Whatever may be type of hernia, I would like to suggest that pain, vomiting can be associated with incarceration of hernia and is a surgical emergency. If you think your hernia is not disappearing on lying down Or if it is showing any change in color on the skin and the sudden onset of pain which is intensifying, you must rush to the ER immediately.
Second of all, your bleeding, nausea and pain could be unrelated to hernia and it could be due to excessive stress or something that happened in the ovary like a cyst rupture, hemorrhage or even torsion or just a random event. It is really hard to pinpoint at the diagnosis without an imaging study like a transvaginal ultrasound scan of pelvis which looks at ovaries, uterus and related organs.
I suggest you consult your doctor to rule out complication of hernia and also for an ultrasound scan. Your further treatment depends on your clinical examination and also the tests conducted.
Hope this answers your query! Take care.
