What Causes Abdominal Pain, Tender Breasts With Brown Spot Of Blood While Using Birth Control?
Hi, I have been having abdominal pain, tender breasts and dizzy spells. I am on levora birth control and have been for 3 months. The last 2 weeks I have been spotting dark brown almost black blood. I haven't missed a pill and take it every night at the same time. What could this be?

Breast tenderness and abdominal pain are quite common with birth control pills and is seen with combined estrogen progesterone pills.
You can try progesterone only pills (pop) which doesn’t cause such adverse effects. You can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen for pain.
