What Causes Abdominal Pain, Sticky Stool And Vomiting To A 5 Year Old?

My five year old has had trouble with abdominal pain, soft sticky stool and vomiting for many years. We took him to a GI specialist who performed a modified barium swallow with negative results. He is now having fecal incontinence and frequent stools a day. I don't believe he is constipated and, he states that he can not make to the bathroom and often times it is while he is running to bathroom.

Thanks for writing to us.
It look like a case of irritable bowel syndrome if following criteria is satisfied-
has had symptoms at least once per week for at least 2 months,
is growing as expected, feeling relived after passing stool,
is not showing any signs that suggest another cause for the symptoms.
I suggest to do colonoscopy, stool test, usg to diagnose the condition.
Avoid foods high in fat, milk products, drinks with caffeine
drinks with large amounts of artificial sweeteners, which are substances used in place of sugar, foods that may cause gas, such as beans and cabbage.
Probiotics are also helpful.
Hope I answered your query.
